Attorney Anser Ahmad has over 20 years of legal experience in federal and state litigation, as well as in the fields of immigration law, federal criminal defense, and appellate litigation.
Mr. Ahmad handles all aspects of immigration law, including bond hearings, master hearings, and merits hearings, where he represents clients facing removal proceedings, including those with criminal convictions. He has supervised the preparation of hundreds of relative petitions, fiancé visas, student visas, visitor visas, work permits, green card applications, and citizenship applications. He also prepares applications for deferral of removal, political asylum, 601 waivers, 212 waivers, stateside processing, consular processing, and cases before the National Visa Center.
Mr. Ahmad handles all aspects of business immigration practice for his business clients — from employment based non-immigrant petitions (H1B, L-visa, EB category visas) through the PERM processing. He also regularly lectures before both businessmen and attorneys and has represented small businesses in varying legal disputes.
He has tried over 50 cases (section 1983 civil rights cases as well as Title IV discrimination claims, criminal defense, and employment law issues). He handles post-conviction relief matters, federal habeas corpus, and bond hearings for both criminal and immigration clients. He has also briefed and appeared before the Board of Immigration Appeals and is licensed to appear before the Third, Fourth, and Fifth Circuit Courts of Appeals.
